Hello November is here. My naturalistas it’s time to protect our mane as the weather gets colder. There are plenty of protective styles to choose from and I wanted to share my latest protective style that will surely help my hair grow and allow me to take a break from consistent munipulation.
When it comes to doing your hair we’re always looking for a quick convenient style. After browsing YouTube for some ideas, I was inspired to try a ponytail using braiding hair. I received so many compliments, luckily for my viewers I recorded the style.
Over the weekend I went to Fahrenheit the Evolution for my eight week trim. This month is the 1 year 6 month anniversary of my second big chop. It was time for an official length check and I asked my stylist for the full wash & set blow out along with my trim.
I have been natural since 2011, meaning no perm. The last short hairstyle I had I went to the salon and he insisted I needed a perm in order for achieve the style I wanted. I showed him a picture of the style I wanted and he went to work.
It’s very important that you take care of your hair before, during, and after a protective style. Most protective styles last 3-6 weeks, and when it’s during the Summer it’s very important that your hair does not become dry. Preparing your hair for a protective style is vital to maintain healthy , moisturized hair.
